Hey Flower Lover!
That's how I learned this trade, not at school, without training, but with the help and experience of Martine from the former 't Groenhuys.
If you had told me in my early 20s that I would find my dream job in flowers, I would have thought you were crazy...
And yet it was so!
In September 2010, I was given the opportunity to start working at 't Groenhuys on a permanent basis.
I learned quickly, thanks to Martine and partly because it didn't feel like work, but more like a hobby.
Years flew by, I handled every assignment with the same passion and enthusiasm and got to know the shop and the customers inside and out.
However, in 2016 I was forced to take a step back for personal reasons.
While the epidemic was in full swing in 2020, florists were incredibly busy!
So Martine contacted me again with the request to help Freelance here and there until she retired and then take over the business.
A dream I could look forward to, an existing business and customers I once knew and would get to know again in the following years.
And so, in 2024, I was finally, happily and relieved, able to let 't Groenhuys continue to flourish, and thus Fiori-TheGreenHouse was born.
Where the values and standards, as I learned them from Martine, continue to exist.
With the same service, of course, but in a refreshed style, something for everyone.
This is a new chapter, but also an extension of a beautiful adventure that already existed and which I would like to continue in Lissewege.
